NWCC After-School Club Policies
Our Admissions Policy sets out clear and transparent enrolment procedures, ensuring that places are allocated fairly and consistently. Where appropriate, consideration may be given to siblings and children of staff, while ensuring that all admissions decisions are made in a fair and non-discriminatory manner. Our Attendance Policy encourages regular attendance and provides clear procedures for reporting absences and working with families when attendance becomes a concern.
We maintain a strong Code of Conduct that promotes respect, responsibility, kindness, and positive behaviour. Children are supported to understand the expectations of the club and develop confidence, independence, and positive relationships with others. Our Anti-Bullying Policy takes a zero-tolerance approach to bullying. All concerns and incidents are taken seriously, investigated promptly, and managed appropriately, with support provided to all children involved.
The Health and Safety Policy ensures that NWCC provides a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for every child. This includes appropriately trained staff, regular safety checks, first-aid arrangements, risk assessments, and clear procedures for responding to accidents, injuries, illnesses, and other health and safety concerns. Our Equal Opportunities Policy reflects our commitment to inclusion and fairness, ensuring that every child is treated with dignity and respect regardless of their background, culture, ability, or individual needs.
Through our Technology Use Policy, NWCC promotes the safe, responsible, and age-appropriate use of digital devices and online resources. Where technology is used within the club, appropriate safeguards and supervision are in place to help protect children and promote positive digital habits.
Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is at the heart of everything we do. NWCC is committed to protecting children from harm and promoting their welfare through appropriate staff recruitment and vetting, safeguarding training, supervision, and clear procedures for reporting and responding to concerns.
NWCC recognises that every child is different. Our Special Educational Needs (SEN) Policy supports an inclusive approach, ensuring that children with additional needs are welcomed, supported, and given appropriate opportunities to participate and progress. We work in partnership with parents, carers, and relevant professionals where additional support may be required.
Our Grievance and Complaints Policy provides parents and carers with a clear and fair process for raising concerns. All complaints are treated seriously and handled professionally, respectfully, and as promptly as possible, with the aim of achieving a positive resolution.
We are committed to protecting personal information through our Privacy and Data Protection Policy. Personal and family information is handled securely and responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.
Our Food and Nutrition Policy promotes healthy eating and supports children's wellbeing. Where food and refreshments are provided, we aim to offer suitable and nutritious options while taking reasonable steps to accommodate allergies, intolerances, religious requirements, and other dietary needs communicated by parents or carers.
Together, these policies provide a strong framework for maintaining NWCC After-School Club as a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and high-quality environment where children can learn, play, develop confidence, and enjoy their time with us. We work closely with parents and carers to ensure that every child is supported, respected, and given the opportunity to thrive.
